It has been many years since I traveled to NYC. My great good friend, Michael Ferrara (yes, of Campbell and Ferrara Nurseries, where I worked for 14 years), with whom I used to go quite regularly, suggested a quick trip. We went up in July and had a grand time. It was a visit of firsts: the famous High Line; the Brooklyn Botanic Garden; and Ground Zero to see the new World Trade Center, The Oculus, and the 9/11 Memorial and museum (very emotional). Before our train ride home, we capped off our trip with a leisurely walk through Bryant Park.
